Equestrian Federation of Singapore (EFS) approved the team selection procedures and dates for the 2004 FEI/PSI World Dressage and Jumping Challenge during the planning meeting held on December 3 in the Singapore Polo Club.

The FEI/PSI World Jumping Challenge (Cat. B) will take place April 24-25, at the Bukit Timah Saddle Club, Singapore. Selection Procedures for the 2004 FEI/PSI World Dressage Challenge to be organized by the Singapore Polo Club have also been approved. Three selection trials will be held in Singapore before the date of the competition (November 2004). Complete selection criteria will be available from the EFS office. The first trials (Dressage and Jumping) will be held during the 1st Inter-club competition at the Bukit Timah Saddle Club, on February 28-29.

The meeting also discussed the schedule for the qualified dressage and jumping trainings for the Singapore riders and coaches in year 2004. The dates and the names of the visiting coaches will be available from the EFS office.

The meeting agreed to increase number of the different level equestrian competitions in Singapore in the year 2004. In view of the limited number of the equestrian competitions available in SEA region, the meeting also agreed to schedule most of the Singapore-based national and international level competitions during the February-June months. This time schedule will allow Singapore riders willing to compete in Malaysia next year to participate in both Singapore and Malaysian seasons and gain more riding experience.
