Competition
CATEGORIES
The Asian Showjumping Challenge runs in three categories:
Cat. A, Open, 125cm
Cat. B, Open, 115cm
Cat. C, Open, 105cm
GENERAL RULES
• The Asian Showjumping Challenge may be organized by any
equestrian event organizer in Asia upon paying the fee of US$ 800.00.
The fee will be used for the prize money.
• There are 3 categories A, B, and C of different standards
(125/115/105).
• Each category consists of 2
competitions over different courses designed by a Course Designer
designated by the Asian Showjumping Competition Committee.
• Veterinary inspection (trot-ups) is compulsory.
• Each of the 2 competitions consists of 2 rounds under Table
A. In case of equality of penalties after two rounds, the time of
the second round will decide. The 2 competitions of 2 rounds must
be run over a maximum of 3 days. The 2 rounds of a same competition
must be jumped on the same day.
• The complete competition consists of 4 rounds. The final
score for each competitor is the total penalties of the 4 rounds
and the total of his time in the 2 second rounds. If the total of
times is equal, the fastest time in the second found of the last
competition will decide.
• The competitions must be organized as outdoor events between
the 15th February 2005 and the 31st March 2005.
PARTICIPATION
• A country may organize any Category, but rider/horse combination
that competes in one Category is not allowed to compete in others.
• A, B and C are open categories.
• The organizer may enter as many competitors as it wishes
for each of the 3 competitions.
• Asian nationals and riders of any
nationality domiciled for more then six months in participating
countries of the Asian Showjumping Challenge are eligible to
compete without obtaining a license from their home National
Federations.
• Competitors may ride more than one horse in the competition
but the score of only one horse may count for points. This horse
must be declared before the first competition begins and must be
ridden as first horse in each first round. The results obtained
with the other horses will not count towards the final standings.
A horse may not be ridden by more than 1 rider.
• A competitor eliminated in one competition may start in
the other competition. However, his/her results will not count towards
the final classification.
• A draw for each competition will take place to decide the
starting order.
• The order of starting for all horses and riders in the
second round of each competition will follow the reverse order of
the number of penalties in the first round, whether horses are competing
for placing or not.
ORGANIZATION
• The Asian Showjumping Challenge may be organized by any
equestrian event organizer in Asia upon paying the fee of US$ 800.00.
The fee will be used for the prize money. Each country OC is responsible for the organization, judging and
running the competitions.
• Each of the competitions is to be judged by an FEI International
Judge or FEI Candidate Judge (from abroad or from the home NF) who
will act as a President of the Ground Jury.
THE COURSE
• The course will be forwarded to the OC 3-7 days before the
announced competitions date.
• The penalties will be calculated according to the FEI Jumping
Rules, 21 Edition and rules for.

• The courses will be designed by the FEI listed Course Designer
(at least of a candidate status) designated by the ASCC.
• The following maximum dimensions apply in three categories.
The width of obstacles must not exceed the height by more than 10cm,
except for the triple bar:

• Cups might not exceed 22mm in depth. Safety cups are to
be used for the back poles of spread fences.
• Electronic timing with display is compulsory and must be
recorded in 1/100 of a second.
• The size of the arena (36m x 72 m) must either be marked
out on the ground or railed off.
PRIZES
Prize money for the first-place winner only in each category
will be awarded to the riders.
• The country OC is free to offer prizes for other places
and classes.
REGISTRATION
All the venues, definite dates and OCs of the competitions have
to be transmitted to the SHCM 2 (two) months prior to the competition
to the following address:

RESULTS & REPORTS & PHOTOS
• Results, photographs and judges reports must be sent to
the SHCM office immediately after the competition by the OC from
each country.
• Results will be processed to determine the
winner of the championships. The results and photographs will be published on the website and distributed to the country representatives.
SPONSORSHIP
• OCs are free to obtain additional sponsorships for this
competition.
