Aachen (GER) hosted an early test event last weekend ahead of the Endurance competition which will be a part of the WEG in 2006.

Whilst the distances for the trial event were shorter than the 2006 Championship course, it did provide the organisers with an opportunity to test out both the facilities at the vet gates and the course itself.

A total of 55 riders took part in the test event from over 14 countries. Two distances were used providing riders with a choice of either the 90 km or 120 km both courses providing a taste of the facilities and the terrain the riders will face in 2006.

The route for the 2006 Endurance Championship will take the competitors through three countries as they cover the 160 km course – Germany, Holland and Belgium.

Frank Kemperman, General Manager of the ALRV commented that, despite there being a few minor problems on the day, he was very pleased.
