Michael Whitaker wins again

La Coruna (SPAIN). July 22, 2004.- The UK's Michael Whitaker makes a double win in the second class at CSI La Coruna, winning the opening class followed by a second triumph in the the Trofeo Azkar. His mount was Fleur 195, a Holsteiner born in 1991.

Whitaker has once again made a perfect performance, with a clear round in 55.28 seconds. Bulgaria's Rossen Raitchev riding the 12 year old Landjuwel finished in second place (0-55,76).

Spain's Gonzalo Testa was the first local rider to make a top placement in this first part of the day, riding Epson Pierville (0-56,69).

Irish born Jessica Kuerten placed fourth with Quibell followed by Pia Luise Aufrecht in fifth position. This Thursday the Irish team defined its team for Athens, which will include Kuerten, Kevin Babington, Marion Hughes and Cian O´Connor.
