3Q Classic was held on 7th – 9th July showcased Dressage and Showjumping …what a treat! Many of the dressage riders have been in hiatus since the FEI Dressage Challenge in November (8 months with no dressage shows), it’s even a wonder we still have dressage riders in this part of the world!
Top Dressage Class - FEI Regional Prelim Class, Team Class and the Individual Test - quite impressive with 7 riders, all new to this level except for Qabil Ambak. These tests are in preparation for the Asian Games in Doha, December 2006.
Qabil Ambak (MAS) on Grey Cottage, Diani Lee (MAS) on Antschar and Christina Kunz (SIN) on Carmone.
Winners of FEI Regional test were Qabil Ambak (MAS) on legendary Grey Cottage (previous Sea Games and Asian Games winner), Diani Lee (MAS) on her new Antschar, a handsome Trakenher (KL Grand Prix 2006 Exhibition Debut) who is in a class of his own, Christina Kunz (SIN) on classy pony, Carmone and Ellesse Tzinberg (PHIL) with her seven year old TB, Super Conqueror.
Special congratulations to Ellesse Tzinberg (PHIL) - such a great talent and a dream to watch with her dressage – she is the youngest at 14 yrs. old. Surely, it’s only pure love and confidence on her seven year old TB, Super Conqueror and Ellesse’ talent and hard work which got them this far.
Just to remind - last year at 3Q Malaysian Open and Merdeka Masters 2005, they were Novice Champions, Premier Cup 2005, they were Elementary Champions and by the end of the 2005 season they were trying their skills in Medium Dressage. What a great progress!
We caught up with Ellesse and ask her how she feels about having the only Thoroughbred in that level. Her answer was short and sweet…”It’s good, my horse Super looks different than the warm bloods, has great character and tries very hard. We hope to make the score to get to the Asian Games.”

Congratulations!

FEI World Cup SEA Young Rider Series
Contrary to the senior riders, the young riders found it easy with 8 clear rounds.
