Lynne Maas and Anky van Grunsven were the FEI tour winners at the 2008 Dutch Indoor Dressage Championships in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, February 22-24, 2008. Especially Lynne Maas and her KWPN gelding Salo made a huge impression in the small tour.

The Schiedam based Maas and her Ferro offspring scored the winning marks of 68% in the Prix St Georges, 70.33 in the Intermediaire I and 72.670% in the Intermediaire I kur to music. Two years ago, Maas and Salo were the 2006 Dutch Champions at Z-level (Fourth level) and now they are unstoppable in the small tour. Salo was very frolicky during the price giving and bucked so hard that Lynne almost was launched from the saddle. She stayed put, though, but injured his ring finger. The former young rider Richelle ter Haak from Den Ilp became reserve champion with Lest Best V (by Damiro) followed by Thamar Zweistra on Hexagon’s Truppa (by Rubiquil).

In the big tour, title favourite Anky van Grunsven, for once, had to fight for her points because Adelinde Cornelissen was breathing down her neck for the champion's sash. Van Grunsven and Painted Black (by Gribaldi) scored 73.68% in the Grand Prix, Cornelissen and Parzival (by Jazz) 73.19%. In the Kur to Music, Anky achieved 78.58%, Adelinde 78.17%. Anky totalled an overall of 152.26% while Adelinde had to settle for the reserve champion's position with 151.36%. Edward Gal and Interfloor's Next One (by Jazz) landed overall third place.

"To me this competition is a fantastic opportunity to practive and see if we can keep the rhythm going," Van Grunsven commented after winning the title. Cornelissen was very pleased with her second place. "It's brilliant that the past few months, after a planned period of rest and solid training, we have made so much progression. We've become sharper, Parzival is more loose in his body and that has its results in our performances," Cornellisen said. Cornelissen is trained by Johan Hamminga and Sjef Janssen.
