THE 3Q CLASSIC
South East Asia World Cup First Qualifier hosted by 3 Q Equestrian in Kuang, Selangor Malaysia a great success at the start of the Show Jumping Season.
FEI Course Designer Werner Deeg built a technical course of twelve jumps
Qabil Ambak was the only clear round over the sturdy 1.45mts course.
Jennifer Chang and Luxor put in a great performance even though the pair had a nasty stop at the big brown solid oxer riding towards the crowd, they recovered and cleared the rest for only 6 faults and second placing. Great performance for Jennifer who has been out of action after having a baby.
Pengiran Mohd Nasir from Brunei was third with 8 faults.
Unfortunately Thailand´s Sirra Konglapamnuay riding Angelina scrambled at the seventh fence and Quizier Ambak retired after fence nine. Quizier has been very busy with the Malaysian Polo League and felt his mount Calano was not in top form.
USA Mary Kate Hassett riding O´Jasper had knocks early in the round but recovered after for 13 faults, placing her fourth.
This event had great support form riders of neighbouring countries who travelled all the way to Malaysia to take part in this prestigious competition.
Sticking to the format of featuring Dressage classes half day and the other half for Show Jumping, there was non stop equestrian classes all through the four days.
