The Olympia Horse Show 2010
By Media Release
Jun 18, 2010
The London International Horse Show takes place in the historic halls at Olympia in December each year and is a world renowned event. It has first class international dressage and jumping and is the UK's only show to host FEI World Cup ™ qualifiers in both disciplines.
The world's top riders travel to Olympia each year to compete and in 2009 the dressage was won by World Number one Edward Gal on his magical horse Moorlands Totilas. And the jumping was won by Eric Van der Vleuten on VDL Groep Tomboy.
Top class competition is mixed with great entertainment. This year the international equestrian display is from The Ukrainian Cossacks whose daring horsemanship is second to none. They are joined by The Household Cavalry who will be performing their Musical Ride in this, their 350th anniversary year.
You can also expect to see favourites such as the Kennel Club Dog Agility and the Shetland Pony Grand National as well as the Olympia finale during every performance from Thursday 16th - Monday 20th.
If you want to do any last minute christmas shopping you will have over 200 shops to choose from selling everything from equestrian products to jewellery, clothing, food and gadgets.
If you indulge a little too much why not take advantage of leaving your shopping bags at the shopping drop off point, this year run by the official Charity Starlight Children's Foundation. Your belongings will be safe and secure leaving you free to explore and enjoy the rest of the show.
The box office will open on 21st June at 9am. To book your tickets call 0871 230 5574 or book online.
Further information on the full programme will follow so make sure to keep an eye out for the coming Olympia E-news or visit the website www.olympiahorseshow.com.
